Wildlife, My Water

Inappropriate influence throws a lifeline
Better known as spectacular vulgarity.
It's no secret that love

Will reconsider the expression,
The praise and golden dogs.
Don't leave, come be inspired and

Call fate the dog of wings
Amid annual awards and bonuses.
It should be no surprise, celebrate.

Computerized Hair Reduced

Uniform, diagonal, absolute mastery
Is round and kind—only
Guilty of reduction in private

Research—creating every situation
Filled with local love and
Found by false involvement in

Achievement: an artificial problem
As vulnerable and delicate as
Purple policemen under question.

'Zineland!

Stan Apps and I will be at the Hammer Museum representing our modest publishing venture, Insert Press, for an event that Darin Klein put together called 'Zineland. We'll be debuting some advance copies of Fold Magazine and will be selling chapbooks by Harold Abramowitz and Julien Poirier. Darin also put together a Zine for the 'Zineland event, go figure, and you should be able to preview a few pages from Ara Shirinyan's forthcoming book Handsome Fish Offices if you come to 'Zineland and pick up a Zine.

more of The News

Talk Extends Distraction

The prison sentence advanced theories
Like circus elephants on parade—
Wrestling with detention has become a liability.

Action aimed at putting it on the table,
In the world of books and reading,
Is difficult to avoid, but necessary.

A fairly ridiculous and baseless
Good feeling, as in the enormous books—
The cost and nerve of their strategic vision.

More Spicer

Morphemes in section
Lew, you and I know how love and death matter
Matter as wave and particle--twins
At the same business.
No excuse for them. Lew, thanatos and agape have no business being there.
What is needed in hill country. Dry in August. Dead grass leading to mountains you can climb onto
Or stop

"high" New Eyes

Leave Men "high"

Innocent enough, as delighted children,
The popular myth that women are men
Raised the alert from "moderate" to "high."

In truth, they are extremely dangerous
With devices that automatically record them
Found dead on an artificial lane.

They accounted for almost half the injuries to
Researchers. The difference is not
To ease their protective measures.

The New Touch, Live

At the very least, the first of which will be
Rejected and will not support
A non-stop propensity for private air travel.

About 15 inches wider than similar
Promises to make potential payments,
I'm not going to let my own hypocrisy get in the way.

Windows will be 65 percent larger, Bathrooms big enough to
Disavow any link between
This modern environmental movement and the excess of protest.

Steadily Opening Eyes

Spectacular growth unlikely to elicit a shift in
This phenomenon: the first global celebrity
And his love life, but give us a minute to get there…

Figures were slightly above growth rate
On giant screens it became clear that the failed prophet,
necessarily public, becomes more difficult all the time.

Health and leisure declined for the 12th straight month, and
The former attention on change rather than
Informational vermin, acknowledged the dichotomy.

Some Spicer

Distance, Einstein said, goes around in circles. This
Is the opposite of a party or a social gathering.
It does not give much distance to go on.
As
In the beaches of California
It does not give me much to go on.
The tidal swell
Particle and wave
Wave and particle
Distances.

and then another piece after Spicer...

There is realisation paint on not having youngblood just as there is realisation paint on not having poignancy
Not totemic in either case as solarium or solvency, endearing all the minor trails
But in either case (poignancy or youngblood)
As bedlam.
Against the rhombic drink and other imaginaries we have not seeded in toil
I have seeded the youthful locks of the lioness and come back for the homecoming wearing only a sweater.

The Bald Champ Threatens

The widespread wings, white-capped head and sharp cry
That combine drama, daring and indigestion in a repulsive triumph
First warned that new missles plan to set up a system.

Losing the noble visage is unthinkable, yet it almost happened. Hunting and
The great red, white and blue inhaling a screaming crowd in Coney Island.
The threat is likely to irritate an early warning radar system in the interceptors.

As the country took action, killing the lowly scavenger, with its ranks still thinning…
"If I needed to eat another one right now, I could," said the emblem of eating supremacy.
As an alternative to the plan currently under construction—sharing, making, bringing and setting up.

I've been doing these every day so far since the first of the month they are an experiment that Nicholas Grider turned me on to over at 3by3by3 and the first three I did are posted over there, along with the basic rules. Because I like rules and restrictions so much I added some of my own to the basic template. I take three news stories, use the 1st para from the 1st story for the 1st line the 1st para from the 2nd story for the 2nd line and the 1st para from the 3rd story for the 3rd line - then start over for the second and third stanzas. I also only allow myself to take words out in the order they appear in the news story and only allow myself to change things from plural to singular or past to present tense, very basic subtle changes. They make interesting strange things I think. If you start doing any of them, be sure to send them to the 3by3by3 blog and Lance will post them up there.

The New Credebt

My old old blog A Cabinet has already done the Second Life thing and it's on to a new Third Life for a project I'm starting called Credebt. I'm collecting, scanning and OCRing all the letters I receive which are offering me new lines of credit. The images and OCR'd texts will be posted there as I collect them - then I will embark on an editing process to trim down the text of every package to one poem each - I'll post these strange visual poems to A Cabinet and try to preserve some of the remnants of the OCR software I'm using (which is the software that came with my scanner, so I doubt it's very state of the art). Take a look over there once in a while to see how Credebt is progressing.
